standout quirky, quality Tasmanian producer
about Peter Dredge started his winemaking career in Adelaide Hills, working at the famous Petaluma winery in 1998, which is where he got his nickname Dr. Edge. Having worked in Germany, he moved to Tasmania, eventually establishing his own winery in 2015 near Hobart. His wines reflect the name—edgy, innovative, quirky, and of very good quality. The labels are based on a piece of art he purchased in Bristol in the UK, the home of Massive Attack whose music you can almost hear in the wines.

“Dr. Ongo” Pét-Nat (AUS$40)
A blend of Pinot Noir and Meunier, mixed in with fermenting Riesling. A delicious pét-nat that’s clean, sophisticated, fruity, and extremely drinkable. Lightly pink in appearance, dry, and high in acid.
