standout farmers turned winemakers

about like many Adelaide Hills producers, the family were originally fruit and veg farmers (particularly broccoli), sold in the markets of nearby Adelaide. As the potential of Adelaide Hills for wine became clear, the family transitioned to grape-growing at the turn of the century. A beautiful property, with very clear expressions of Adelaide Hills wines.

“Marjorie” Blanc de Blancs 2014 (AUS$55)

100% Chardonnay. Six years on the lees. Mature and complex, shows the potential for Adelaide Hills sparkling wine to have the complexity, brightness, and weight to justify long ageing.
