standout “Prosecco”
about Hampish Young is based on Canberra, whose cooler climate is still a little off the radar in comparison to other Australian wine regions. He also makes wines from nearby, little-known Tumbarumba and Hilltops. A wide range of wines is made, including a prosecco and a pét-nat.

Pétillant-Naturel Tumbarumba Prosecco 2021 (AUS$30)
a characteristically Australian irreverent approach in calling the wine both prosecco and pét-nat. This the first vintage for the wine. Fruity, hazy style, of definite appeal in natural wine bars. The 2022 is 30% Pinot Gris, with partial fermentation on the skins but not tasted.
