standout one of the best co-ops of any region
about founded in 1929, there are now 80 members of the co-operative covering 70ha, all within the village of Mailly-Champagne and covering one third of plantings. Members’ holdings cover 480 plots, and investment has allowed plots to be fermented separately. Although a co-op, not that different in approach and quality from a négociant. They have a lovely website.

Extra Brut Grand Cru 2014 (€45)
75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay. 2-3g/l dosage. Older vintage champagne at a very reasonable price, all from one Grand Cru. Neither exciting nor exceptional, but hard to fault.
