standout fresh, floral, immediate prosecco in all styles

about established in 1978 by Fabio Ceschin, with children Andrea, Francesco, and Sara now involved in the running of the company. Located in the village of San Pietro di Filetto, grapes are bought as well as grown. Tasting their wines is a good overview of the range of prosecco styles produced. Still wines are also made.

wines tasted

Brut Prosecco NV ($18)

Fruit flavours are fresh rather than confected: good introduction to decent prosecco.

Brut Conegliano Valdobbiadene NV ($22)

Some Pinot Bianco for a slightly more concentrated style, with fresh, floral, fruit aromas.

Brut Millesimato Conegliano Valdobbiadene 2019 ($27)

Fermented in a manner that’s been trademarked by the producer: there is just one fermentation, all in tank. Fruity and extremely pleasant. 7-9g/L residual sugar.

Extra Dry Coneglianio Valdobbiadene NV ($22)

Sweeter style of the Brut, though not too sweet. 16g/L.

Extra Dry Rosé Prosecco 2020 ($20)

10% Pinot Nero, fermented separately, then sixty days for the second fermentation in pressurised tank. Fruity, sweet pink bubbles.

Extra Dry Prosecco NV ($18)

Perhaps a little too much sugar compared to the drier styles made by the producer. 30g/L.

Superiore di Cartizze 2020 ($40)

Characteristic example of the single-vineyard site: aromatic and floral, with residual sugar rounding out the palate.
