bubblesoftheworld, as the name suggests, is a website all about the sparkling wines made around the globe. With overviews of the major wine regions as well as many others, the site is designed for both students preparing for sparkling wine exams and for sparkling wine enthusiasts.

There are twenty countries and dozens of regions profiled. These include the most famous and important—champagne, cava, prosecco; the evolving regions—England, Germany, California, Australia, South Africa; regions not associated with sparkling wine—Greece, Portugal, Argentina; and more obscure places—Denmark, Slovenia, New Mexico.

There are nearly 300 producers currently featured, with detailed profiles, ratings, and technical notes on each wine tasted. The list will continue to grow, in order to provide a go-to online reference point for sparkling wine. Contact details for each producer are listed to assist visits or to ask questions for further information.

Subscription to the site is $30/year or $20 for one-off two month access. In addition to the extensive information on the site, subscribers will receive access to two extra posts each month with insights into current trends in sparkling wine production as well as its history and understanding of the many different styles made.

There are few—if any—websites which offer such a comprehensive guide to sparkling wine within and outside of Champagne.
