about started almost by accident after the financial crash of 2008, Old Westminster is now run by three siblings, Drew, Lisa, and Ashli. The farm was established by their parents as a side project, and plantings of vines began in 2011. The whole family has embraced the agricultural side to the business, with an aviary, hogs, and mushrooms all on the site besides vines.

Pétillant-Naturel (vintage) ($32)

100% Albariño. Youthful—aged for just sixth months—with citrus, stone fruit aromas, light lees, spice. Acidity is high, perhaps a little too piercing, but consistent with international styles of pét-nat.
