standout leading producer part of the Corpinnat breakaway from cava
about an historic producer whose wines are predominantly based on Xarel·lo, a variety they have conducted extensive research on to prove its suitability for quality wine. There has been experimentation in both the vineyard and the winery to improve practices in an age of climate change: geothermal energy, organics and biodynamics, and solar panels. Gramona owns 60ha of vineyards and buys fruit from 64ha of growers. They pay a premium price for the fruit and have encouraged growers to farm sustainably through the formation of Alianzas por la Tierra. A founding and leading member of Corpinnat. The style of wine is exceedingly rich, with long ageing.
